Certified Medical Transcriptionist

I used The Language of Medicine and the AAMT Book of Style for my main study. There's also an AAMT Book of Style Student Workbook.   I simply worked through the entire Medicine textbook and found it to be extremely helpful. Current editions come with an interactive quiz CD.  There are study guides available specifically for the exam also.

Certified Medical Transcriptionist Exam -- information page from AHDI explaining eligibility requirements, testing process and more

CMT Prep Assessment -- from AHDI offers a great starting point and outline for organizing your preparation. It's recommended that you start here as there are further links to their self assessment, FAQs,  Candidate Guide and much more.
